LET'S GET TO IT

Apart from having to split yourself in four to get around doing all the things you'd like to in Berlin, the city is really pretty great. Since science hasn't enabled us to do the person-splitting thing yet (or not that I know of), a recent trip to the city meant blogging was just one of those things that got left out - s.o.r.r.y. There's a few things that came out recently and I'd like to share though, one of them being Murphy Jax's latest joint with Mike Dunn.
Was and still am a big fan of their previous joint 'It's The Music', so check it out if for some reason you haven't yet. This one focuses more on melody, has an infectuous chorus and comes with a Serge Santiago remix that surely should set some dancefloors alight.
get it digitally with a bonus track here, vinyl lovers: this way.

TURNING

Very quick post today.
1. Headman's latest EP 'Turning' is really really good.
2. It has a great video as well.
3. Emperor Machine's remix of it is a mental 9 minute journey of epicness.
4. There's a Murphy Jax remix of 'Be Loved' on the EP too that is getting lots of love from me and you'll find a free download of the dub below.
5. Buy the EP here

IT'S TIME TO BUMP

I featured Murphy Jax on ssssound last year when Clone released his excellent It's The Music EP. This time around, he's back with the EP 'We Dance' on Turbo that features four originals and remixes by Populette, Matt Walsch and Freak Seven.
Murphy Jax's typical vintage Chicago sound is present throughout the release - 'typical' in it being slightly more atmospheric than most other Chicago-influenced music, if that description makes any sense. There's also a second EP on Clone's Jack For Daze coming in a few weeks so be on the lookout. In the meantime, buy the Turbo EP here.

Murphy Jax - its Time to Bump

I NEED TO FEEL MY MUSIC, EACH AND EVERY DAY

This one has been on repeat for a while, it's got some of the most infectious vocals I've heard all year, property of Mr. Mike Dunn. Add a very sharp melody on top of that and you've got yourself a winner. Du-dum-dum du-dudu-dum, dudu-dum-dum-dum du-dudu-dum - sorry that's all I think of right now. Out on Clone Records, as part of the Clone Jack For Daze series which is devoted to the early Chicago house inspired records. The release comes with excellent remixes by Alden Tyrell and Legowelt, as played in their Beats In Space mix a while back.
