FLAMINGO ISLE

I posted about Marius' Things We Did EP on Non Records last year, but do feel the need to mention its remix EP that came out last month. Remixes feature label mates Renkas and HyperHyper beside Jimmy Edgar, In Flagranti and Louis La Roche as well as Ronika, who recorded vocals for the previously instrumental track 'Yester'.
The label specifically linked each remixer to a particular track that would fit the remixer best, which resulted in tracks all worth mentioning. The ones getting me excited though, is In Flagranti's on the one hand, a lovely & groovy piece of summer, and Jimmy Edgar's on the other hand, a much darker, brooding remix, as is to be expected of Mr. Edgar.

Buy the EP here and if you'd like to read more: there's a (Dutch) interview with Marius over at Dj Broadcast.
Besides that there's quite a few things coming up on the Non Records label, including a remix EP of In Flagranti's Interdisciplinary, so keep an eye out.

INTO THE NIGHT

If you didn't already know how great the people over at Scion A/V were, here is more than enough proof: They give away a remix package every month and this month's edition is Azari & III's latest single on Turbo Recordings , 'Into The Night'. The memo for this edition must have sounded something like "Let's get all ssssound's favourites together and let them remix ANOTHER ssssound favourite!". Those favourites would be Nicolas Jaar, Prince Language and CFCF, though the other remixes by Renaissance Man & Seth Troxler are definitely worth checking out as well. I do realise I posted as much as 4/6 of the tracks - I'm clearly having trouble picking favourites in this pile of amazingness. You might as well download the whole EP over here actually.
And if that wasn't enough yet, pick up the In Flagranti remix Scion A/V gave away last month, one I should have posted on here ages ago. Early Christmas presents!

SOLAR BREAKFAST

The idea sounds great: Put a number of artists (let's say In Flagranti, Rory Phillips and G & S) together at a dinner party; improvise a little jam session and record it; let every artist go home with a copy of the recordings to play around with and wait until they come up with an own version.
Surprise...the result turns out to be great too! Electric Fling EP is out on Codek Records.

Thanks to Voules Random for the track!

SSSSOUNDTRACK PT.III - THE NEBBY EDITION

And here we are back again. You might have noticed SSSSOUND has been undergoing some changes recently, now the makeover is complete! What better way to celebrate than with a third part of the SSSSOUNDTRACK project? For this one SSSSOUND invited Nebby to show of his DJ-skills (yes, he is both graphic designer and DJ, we all know that combination is meant for succes!) And happy we can be: An excellent tracklisting including In Flagranti, Joakim, Bot'Ox, Riton, LCD Soundsystem and lots more, mixed together to form one hour of pure SSSSOUNDTRACK pleasure. download it HERE!
PS - you can find the SSSSOUNDTRACK archive in the left sidebar!

PICK A TRICK

In Flagranti's album Brash & Vulgar is coming. Get excited.
